Period property renovation and extension
Architect: Richard Court
Two-storey extension to create a three bedroom cottage with bathroom and shower room. Renovation works included raising ground floor ceiling height by 6” using new structural joists whilst keeping the original timbers showing. New roof, sourcing of reclaimed clay peg tiles to match original. Sympathetic restoration of large inglenook fireplace. The period cottage had a high quality finish with oak staircase and doors, stone floors, roll top bath and an abundance of exposed stone walls, beams and period features were restored. To the outside feature stone walls were rejuvenated, new oak garage with clay peg tiles and oak doors. Creation of patio areas and an outside office was built in the garden.
